Thank you for all of the support so far! We will be out again today accepting donations at our location at 231 Bugeye Square, Prince Frederick MD 20678 until 5pm . We managed to fill up a sprinter van yesterday, lets keep the momentum going!

All donations will be taken down to NC to get to those in need Sunday morning. We have received word that Operation Airdrop will be pausing operations this afternoon at 5. Everything is still desperately needed and we already have places for the supplies to go, this just means there are no restrictions on what we can take!

On Tuesday, May 3, the Board of County Commissioners participated in Business Appreciation Week (BAW) site visits.

Visited by Commissioner Vice President Steven Weems, Benedict Metal Works, Inc. recently relocated to the Calvert County Industrial Park from Prince George’s County. Their manufacturing business has a highly experienced staff in the design, fabrication and installation of all aspects of the sheet metal industry.

Big thank you to these guys for sticking around after hours and cutting over 10,000 Aluminum Face Mask Strips on their own time. These strips are being sent to organizations around our area that are making face masks for health workers and other places that are in dire need of them. They are slipped in close to the top of the mask to provide a bit of support across the bridge of your nose so that the masks do not constantly slide down as you go about your business. The first 2000 were sorted, packaged, and sent out this morning with more ready to go out first thing next week.
This initiative is a grassroots movement started by a company named Hillery Company up in Connecticut, Local 40, that has since swept across the nation.

Just a reminder the company family picnic is still on for this Saturday (10/20) at 1pm. We hope to see everyone there and that the rain holds off!
