I am retiring from all aspects of the small engine business. As of April 1st we are closing our doors. It's been a good run but my body is telling me it to give it up. Thank you one and all for your support.

Looks like age is finally catching up to me. Turns out that I am going to be needing both knees replaced which doesn't look like it's going to happen till at least the end of summer. In the meantime we have had to adjust what we service. We will be limiting our services to Home Standby Generators. Main reason is that I don't have to maneuver those around. That also means that we will no longer be doing repairs and services on outdoor power equipment such as lawnmowers, portable generators and pressure washers.

Looks like storm season is upon us. We have had such a demand for generator repair that until further notice we will only accept portable generators at the shop for repair and servicing. We will continue to repair and service home standby generators on site.

We also offer sales of Champion, Briggs and Stratton and Kohler Home Standby sysems.

I am looking for an electrician to install home standby generators. I seem to have lost touch with my current installers and I have several customers awaiting quotes. If you are interested please call me at 360.930.5357 (shop) or 360.271.172 (cell). Joe's Small Engine Repair will provide the generator and transfer switch. We will configure it for the proper fuel and will configure it once it is installed. The installer would be responsible for permits and all wiring.

We are currently just resuming full operation. Our hours have changed. We are currently open Mon, Thur, Sat and Sun from 10am to 4 pm. Equipment drop-off is on Saturdays between 11 and 3 only. We are currently limiting on site work to home standby generator services only. When calling us please use 360.930.5357. My cell phone is used only when I am not in the shop. Most times messages left on my cell phone will not be returned.

We are NOT a Ryobi or Homelite service center even though we are listed as one. We also do not do 2-cycle or handheld equipment.

We are still open for business but have had to modify the way we do things so that everybody stays safe. Effective immediately repair work brought to the shop must call first for an appointment. We will gather all information from you over the phone and fill out a service order and tag for you. You must have a valid email address and be able to pay by credit card. When you bring your equipment in we will hand you the tag for you to verify the information on it and attach the tag to your equipment. Once the equipment is repaired we will send you an invoice by email. You then pay the invoice by credit card and once we have received confirmation of the payment we will have the equipment where you can pick it up. You can also call us with the credit card information and we will process it here at the shop. We will disinfect the equipment when it is brought in and then again after we repair it and set it out for pickup. Any questions feel free to call us at 360.930.5357

For the time being all pickup and delivery or onsite service has been discontinued until further notice. We will make exceptions on a case by case basis. If you have questions feel free to give us a call and we can discuss your situation and make a determination as to the best plan of action.

Joe's Small Engine will be closing at noon on Christmas eve and will be closed Christmas day thru Jan 1, 2020 . We will only handle emergencies during that time. We will reopen for normal business hours on Jan 2, 2020.
