33 Years of Coastal Equipment!

On November 16, 1992, Coastal Equipment opened its doors in Portland, Maine.

That means that as of this November, Coastal Equipment has been around for 33 years — 396 months, 1,722 weeks, 12,053 days, 289,272 hours, 17 million minutes, and more than a billion seconds of serving our customers and building lasting relationships.

We’re proud of that history and of the foundation built by Mark Goldstein, who started Coastal Equipment with a clear focus on customer service and reliability — values that still define us today.

Since Christine and I took ownership in 2020, our goal has been to carry that same spirit forward while growing Coastal Equipment into its next chapter. As we look ahead, we’re grateful for our loyal customers, dedicated employees, and trusted partners who make these 33 years worth celebrating.

Here’s to continuing to build on what’s been started — with an eye toward the next 33 years and beyond.

Do you know someone with a mechanical background who can work well with clients? Coastal Equipment Corporation is looking for Account Managers to support our growing business. The Account Manager role supports our diverse client base by working with our vendors to develop solutions for moving and storing products. It is detailed work, using precise measurements to provide the client with safe, efficient, and compliant equipment.

Interested parties should be able to commute to Portland, Maine easily. This role requires presence at our facility and will include in-person client interactions where we evaluate processes, perform physical measurements, and discuss possible solutions. Our client verticals include manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, and food production. Understanding our clients’ needs and “getting dirty” is a big part of the role.

We will provide training. The ideal candidate is someone with a growth mindset who is committed to learning. Experience and background in trade areas like construction, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or engineering will provide transferable skills to this role.

We offer a competitive salary with a commission plan, full benefits, generous vacation time, and 401K.
