33 Years of Coastal Equipment!

On November 16, 1992, Coastal Equipment opened its doors in Portland, Maine.

That means that as of this November, Coastal Equipment has been around for 33 years — 396 months, 1,722 weeks, 12,053 days, 289,272 hours, 17 million minutes, and more than a billion seconds of serving our customers and building lasting relationships.

We’re proud of that history and of the foundation built by Mark Goldstein, who started Coastal Equipment with a clear focus on customer service and reliability — values that still define us today.

Since Christine and I took ownership in 2020, our goal has been to carry that same spirit forward while growing Coastal Equipment into its next chapter. As we look ahead, we’re grateful for our loyal customers, dedicated employees, and trusted partners who make these 33 years worth celebrating.

Here’s to continuing to build on what’s been started — with an eye toward the next 33 years and beyond.
