FIRE EMERGENCY AND BURN RESTRICTION DECLARATION

A burn restriction/fire emergency has been declared by the County Commissioners to be effective when the ND Rangeland Fire Index Rating is Very High, Extreme, or Red Flag Warning categories. This restriction will automatically rescind on November 1st unless removed earlier by action of the County Commission.

It's going to be an interesting, very dry, summer. Let's do our part and help out our local volunteer fire departments and emergency services. With Portland and Mayville being so near, our two departments are frequently assisting each other on a variety of scenes. Training together, so we're ready to work together, makes for a more efficient response to help our communities when we're called upon. Thanks Mayville Fire & Rescue for planning this activity.
