Throwing it back to two Fridays ago because apparently that’s long enough ago to call it a throwback. 😉

The Portland and Corporate branches got together for a mid-day BBQ potluck, and there was no shortage of good food, full plates, and even better company. 🍔🌭

Big thanks to Branch Manager Kevin for bringing the tasty party ribs! 👏

Happy Star Trek Day! 🖖

FUN FACT: Star Trek’s futuristic “hypospray” injection sound wasn’t sci-fi technology at all. It was a real air compressor.

Sound editor Doug Grindstaff once shared that Gene Roddenberry wanted a sound for just about everything on the show. When Dr. McCoy gave someone a shot, Roddenberry felt something was missing.

So Grindstaff turned to the crew and asked, “Do you guys have an air compressor?”

They did. They fired it up, recorded a burst of compressed air, and just like that, compressed air became the sound of 23rd-century medicine. True story, straight from Grindstaff himself in a 2016 interview.

Compressed air made the future sound cool in 1966, and it’s still doing real work today. And if Rogers existed in the Star Trek universe, you know we’d be providing them with 24/7 parts and service to keep the fleet running. 🚀🔧

Do tires really need 99.999% nitrogen purity?

For tire inflation, around 95% nitrogen purity is typically enough. So why pay for ultra-high purity nitrogen when you may not need it? Watch the full webinar to learn more about nitrogen generation and purity requirements: https://youtu.be/dH9ttTMe3Kc?si=7P7046e1v27a6T6J

We think Labor Day is pretty special. This holiday honoring the achievements of American workers, and we might be biased, but our workers are the best 💯

Since 1949, we have done our best to treat our employees like family. Our technicians truly make our company tick, building, servicing & rebuilding our equipment for customers every day. Without them, Rogers wouldn't exist.

Our offices are closed today as we celebrate the holiday. But if you need emergency service or parts, our on-call technicians are available locally around the clock.

Meet Jameson Billy Rogers, mascot in training. He's getting a bit of a break from his duties, touring Hawaii with one of our accounting staff.

It's important to us that our employees have a change to wind down and experience new things. And our mascots need to see the world too!

I have it on good authority that Jameson made friends with a gecko while on this trip, and was restrained when trying to touch the pretty lava. Stay strong, Jameson.

We wouldn't be a full-blown compressor maintenance shop without some sick before and after photos📸

This compressor skid lives in a mine in Utah. When the compressor was damaged, the customer sent the skid to our Portland repair shop for a tune-up.

After a fix, cleanup and a paint job, the skid is on its way back to the mine. Safe travels!

How do you get nitrogen from the air? 👀

Cryogenic nitrogen generation uses extreme temperatures to separate nitrogen and produce high-purity nitrogen for industrial applications. Albert Gallo with Zeks breaks down the basics of cryogenic nitrogen generation and how nitrogen is separated from air and what Nitrogen purity you may need for your application.

Our service shop in Portland, OR handles all sorts of jobs, large and small.

Many times, we receive a piece of equipment that has been damaged or, in this case, disassembled. The task of our technicians is to fix it up, clean it, test it, and let us take cute pics of it when it's all ready to go back to the customer.

From small AODD pumps like this one, to large skid assemblies and compressors as big as an RV, our maintenance technicians take on everything.

Have you been to the zoo lately? 🦒

The next time you're feeding a giraffe or waiting for the lion to do...something, check around for uses of compressed air. They're typically backstage, but compressed air really does help zoos run.

From operating pneumatic gates to aerating aquatic exhibits, compressed air helps out in the background of a zoo's operation. It's also instrumental in the veterinary services at a zoo, as well as maintenance.

But posting about cute animals is more fun.
