We’ve officially started our latest retrofit project!

We’ve started an exciting retrofit with Pleasant View School District, converting one of their school buses from gas to fully electric. What makes this project even more impactful is the collaboration behind it. Students and parents from the district are working alongside our team as we train them throughout the process, giving them hands on experience in clean transportation and vehicle electrification.

We’re also proud to be partnering with TREDC and California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), whose grant funding is helping make this project possible. Together, we’re not only transforming a school bus but also creating a unique training opportunity that brings the community directly into the future of transportation.

To make it even more special, the entire process is being filmed for a documentary, capturing the journey, the training, and the community effort behind bringing this bus from gas to electric.

Zeronox vehicles will also be available on HVIP soon, helping make clean transportation more accessible for fleets across California.

Electrifying Progress in Ghana ⚡🇬🇭

Vonn and Robert visited our partner and its subsidiary this week to check in on the refuse trucks we’ve successfully electrified for them and prepare for the first large tranche of 200 trucks to be retrofitted early next year.
We’re thrilled to share that the trucks are performing exceptionally well, and the Zoomlion and Jospong teams are energized to move forward with this next tranche of retrofits.

This collaboration represents the largest commercial fleet electrification project in the world, and it’s only the beginning.

Zeronox is proud to help deliver cleaner, more efficient, and more sustainable transportation solutions for communities across Ghana and beyond.

Zeronox and Tule River Economic Development Corporation (TREDC) have officially signed a Strategic Implementation and Revenue Participation Agreement to launch a collaborative clean-energy workforce and fleet-electrification program.

Backed by a $1.6 million California Regional Investment Initiative – Tribal Investment Phase (TIP) award, the partnership will deploy three zero-emission retrofit pilot projects and create career pathways in the clean economy. Zeronox will lead the technical ex*****on of fleet retrofits and provide EV technician training tools and curriculum in collaboration with Porterville College.

Grant funding is expected to be released in the 4th Quarter of 2025, kicking off the first pilot programs. Together, TREDC’s community leadership and Zeronox’s retrofit expertise will accelerate zero-emission adoption and workforce development in California’s Central Valley and beyond.

Last week, we had the privilege of attending the Global MOU Summit 2025 in Arnhem, Netherlands, alongside global leaders working to accelerate zero-emission transport. We had the opportunity to present on our commercial fleet retrofit electrification work, highlighting lessons learned from our hands-on experience from our Jospong project in Ghana.

This summit brought together countries and stakeholders through workshops, site visits, and collaborative discussions, all focused on driving a more sustainable future for medium- and heavy-duty transport.

Jospong Group of Companies Pilot Validates Path to 1,000 Electric Refuse Trucks. Since December, the retrofitted Zoomlion trucks Powered by Zeronox have proven what's possible:

⚡ 8,300 km of clean, electric operation
🌍 11,800 kg fewer CO₂ emissions
💰 Over $5,000 in fuel savings

This successful field test in Ghana is more than a milestone, it's the launchpad for Jospong’s first production order and a multi-phase plan to electrify 1,000 refuse trucks.

As we wrap up February and World Ag Expo season, we’ve got some thoughts. One is that we are grateful each year for the opportunity to represent Central Valley innovation just a stone's throw from the International Ag Center in Porterville, CA. Another is that it felt good to have a test bench our team built for Porterville College’s new EV Tech Center take center stage in our booth (huge thanks to PC for loaning it to us!). It was a perfect reminder that behind every breakthrough—like our Zeronox Electric Powertrain Platform and the incredible new YAK Everest—are the engineers and technicians driving sustainable mobility forward. We left feeling excited about all the curiosity and new connections and look forward to what’s next!
