Today we'd like to give a shoutout to another local business we appreciate—WhiteOak-Carpentry.

These guys offer woodworking, cabinets, furniture building, and more. If you've got a woodworking project in mind or just need some advice, Long, the owner, is always happy to help.

They've done some great work for us here at the shop, including our wooden Dan's Garage sign and our "SERVE" sign. We love the craftsmanship and attention to detail on both pieces.

As part of Dan’s Garage’s 1-year anniversary celebration, we’re hosting a FREE hands-on class designed for new drivers ages 15–21.

• Changing a tire
• Checking fluids
• Battery basics & jumpstarting

⛈️ With severe weather in the forecast, we want to remind everyone to stay safe on the roads.

Before heading out, check local weather and road conditions, and never attempt to drive through flood waters. Even if the water doesn't look deep, the road underneath may be damaged or completely washed out.

🚫 Turn Around, Don't Drown.

If your vehicle becomes stranded in rising water:

✅ Get out of the vehicle immediately if it is safe to do so.
✅ Move to higher ground.
✅ Do not attempt to push or recover the vehicle yourself.
✅ Call emergency services if you are in danger.

If your vehicle has been flooded:

🔹 Do not try to start the engine.
🔹 Disconnect the battery if it is safe to do so.
🔹 Document any damage with photos.
🔹 Contact your insurance company as soon as possible.
🔹 Have the vehicle inspected by a trusted professional before attempting to drive it again.

Your safety comes first. Vehicles can be repaired or replaced—people can't.

The mileage on the vehicle was 142,815 miles!

After lots of great guesses, Katie Jackson came out on top with a guess of 138,940 miles, making her the closest without going over. 🏆

This 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser came to us for some work, and the owner was kind enough to let us use it for our Anniversary Month contest. A big thank you to them for making this possible! Rare to find one with miles this low on it.

To celebrate our first year in business, Dan's garage will be donating to some of our local community non-profits. ❤️

J's House serves children in the foster care system with a vision that every child deserves a forever family. Their work provides hope, stability, and support to kids who need it most.

Throughout the month of June, a portion of every service at Dan's Garage will be donated to J's House. When you bring your vehicle in, you'll be helping make a difference in the lives of children right here in our community.

We're grateful for the opportunity to give back, and we hope you'll join us in supporting this incredible mission. ❤️
