Last week, we celebrated our Green Lake office Administrator, 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗻𝘇, as she officially retires from GEC! 🥳

Jeanne has been an important part of our Green Lake office, helping to keep daily operations running smoothly while building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients and team members over the years.

As Jeanne begins this exciting new chapter, she's looking forward to spending more time gardening🌼, cooling off by the pool💧, crafting🪡, taking walks with her huskies🐾, and making more memories with her grandchildren☺️.

Monday marked the official groundbreaking for the new Norwalk Area Fire Station project. GEC was honored to have helped secure $1 million in funding to bring this important community project to life!

April showers bring May flowers, but they also remind us how important stormwater infrastructure is to our projects. 🌦️

That is why stormwater infrastructure matters. From drainage systems to water management planning - GEC designs, so it all comes together! 💧💦

𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀:

▪️𝗛𝗼-𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗶𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗼: GEC's structural and civil engineering teams collaborated on the design of the stormwater ponds, creating functional elements alongside visually appealing aesthetics.

▪️𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿: Our civil team designed the stormwater pond to allow for future phases, with calculations accommodating this.

▪️𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗟𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮: GEC's longstanding partnership with the Wilderness Resort allowed us to leave the stormwater pond designs we did in the early 2000's - highlighting our client familiarity, expertise, and quality of work.

Matt enjoys the challenge of problem-solving and building strong relationships with local municipalities and communities. He values being part of a company where he can apply his background, experience, and education, and appreciates that each day brings a new opportunity to learn and grow.
