Proper pruning is about more than just making a tree look good — it’s about making the right cuts for the long-term health, structure, and safety of the tree.

That’s why choosing an ISA Certified Arborist matters. Every cut should have a purpose. We take the time to look at the tree’s structure, remove problem limbs, improve clearance, reduce unnecessary weight, and preserve the natural shape of the live oak.

At Top Notch Tree Service, we put detail and care into every tree we work on. Our goal isn’t to simply remove branches — it’s to leave the tree healthier, safer, and looking better for years to come.

Removed two water oaks located directly above the home and positioned between two properties in Battery Point — a tight, technical setup that required precision from start to finish.

We utilized our crane along with our spider lift to safely dismantle the trees without impacting the house or surrounding property.

Not every job is the same, and that’s exactly why having the right equipment — and the experience to use it — makes all the difference.

From wide open removals to tight-access situations like this, we’ve got the tools and know-how to handle it the right way.

🌳 Another one cleaned up the right way!

Today we performed moss removal and light pruning on this crepe myrtle—focusing on maintaining its natural form while improving overall health.

By selectively removing excess moss and making proper pruning cuts, we’re helping the tree:
✔️ Improve airflow and sunlight pe*******on
✔️ Reduce unnecessary weight and stress
✔️ Maintain a strong, natural structure

We always take a minimal, arborist approach to keep trees looking great without over-pruning.

👉 We also take care of smaller jobs like this crepe myrtle, not just large removals!

Protecting our customer’s gardenias and camellias while safely removing heavy wood 🌿
Because we own our own crane, we eliminate the need for a third-party crane company—saving our customers money, reducing job time, and keeping full control of safety and precision from start to finish.

This is a before and after of a live oak where we carefully removed heavy vine growth. Every cut was made with purpose and care.

As Certified Arborists, we don’t just prune trees to make them look good — we prune for tree health, structural strength, and safety. Proper pruning helps reduce risk, improves longevity, and keeps your trees thriving.

If your trees are overgrown, vine-covered, or concerning you, let a professional take a look.

🌳 Have a large tree that needs removed but access is tight?
We’ve got you covered.

Our Bobcat L28 is only 52 inches wide, making it perfect for narrow gates, backyards, and tight access jobs. It’s very turf-friendly and powerful enough to carry large wood out of confined areas without tearing up your yard.

If you’ve been told “it can’t be done” — give us a call.
