π§ ASK AN ENGINEER!
Ever wonder what happens to all that rainwater after it hits the ground? Drainage design is a lot more than simply sending water downhill, especially here in Southeast Texas, where βdownhillβ can be a pretty generous description. π
Our engineers have to work with existing grades, available outfalls, storm sewer systems, pipes, swales, and a whole lot of other site-specific constraints to make sure water has somewhere safe to go.
We asked Derek to explain how it works on a larger scale. Check out his answer above! And if you've got an engineering question you've always wondered about, send it our way.
