Construction is underway on the Mt Comfort Water Association’s production and distribution improvements. The new facilities will provide new water service to over 70 new customers and provide a more sufficient supply of water to over 500 of their existing customers located in North Calhoun County, MS and South Lafayette County, MS near Paris and Tula. The project also includes installing a automatic radio read meter system. The new meters and automation will allow the system’s operators to more accurately estimate water loss as well as allow the owner to have a much more accurate usage and billing collection database. Construction of all four contracts is expected to be completed in the early Summer of 2020.
