Pneumatic trailer day today. Replaced a few washed out valves due to extreme heat and abrasive materials, ate the seat right out of the valve. The sight glass had also washed out around the bolt holes and essentially “sandblasted” its way out. Both are back together and good to go.

The valve seat had washed out and allowed air and product back into the tank, causing the line to plug and slowing down the unloading process. Needed to chain up a trailer axle damaged in a truckstop parking lot, bypassed the rear axle air bags and inflated the front with the leveling valve and blocks to raise the rear axle high enough for adequate ground clearance. Made it the 8 hour ride for repairs to be made.

A classic case of shock loading right here, DSP41 front diff with a chipped ring gear, spider is completely obliterated and pushed chunks of gears and bearing rollers out to the wheel ends, will be getting a new diff, wheel seals, races and wheel bearings after a complete flush and cleaning the glitter out of the housing.
