Good news, everyone! We have fixed the issues we had with our stove and furnace, so we're able to resume our Sunday dinners. The first one for this fall will be on October 25th. We will continue the meals every other Sunday until December 20th. Here is the full schedule:

October 25th - Chicken
November 8th - Chicken
November 22nd - Turkey
December 6th - Chicken
December 20th - Ham

As in years past, we are only asking for $11 for all you care to eat! That includes the meat of the day, sides, a drink and a dessert. Children 12 and under eat for only $5. You can't beat that anywhere.

You can find us at 104 W Clay St in Pleasant Hill, IL. We start serving at 11 am and finish at 1 pm. This is a community event and open to everyone.

We are glad to resume this community event. We'd love to see you. Please tell your friends and neighbors.

People wonder why small businesses are struggling…These are just some observations from running an online business to a brick and mortar business.

We’ve only been in business a little over 2 months, and we’ve already shelled out more than $900 to Ameren just to keep the lights on.

Think about that—over $900 in electricity in just two months for a small business trying to get established.

Between rising utility costs, taxes, insurance, payroll, inventory, and all the other expenses that come with running a business, it’s no wonder small businesses are feeling the squeeze.

Small businesses aren’t just paying for the products you see on the shelves. We’re paying for everything it takes to keep those doors open.
