Halloween means plenty of excitement, lots of walking, and often some chilly fall air. For trick-or-treaters with asthma, a little preparation can help keep the focus where it belongs, on the fun (and the candy!).

Sometimes the most important thing an RT brings into the room isn’t equipment. It’s confidence.

Respiratory therapists walk into moments when breathing is difficult, anxiety is high, and someone may not know what comes next.

They bring clinical expertise, but they also bring reassurance. A steady voice. An explanation that makes things less frightening. The confidence that comes from knowing someone in the room understands exactly what to do.
