Sigma Alpha Iota (the music fraternity for women and non-binary identifying humans) is trying something new this year! They have put together some apparel as a fundraiser for music scholarships.

Game day MP Schedule

Saturday, October 17
10:30 am - March of Champions
Noon - All MP members report to sectional warm up near track in full uniform
12:30 pm - Line up near shed, mini concert and march to stadium
12:50 - Pregame performance
1:00 - Game kickoff
2:15(ish) - Halftime field performance
4:00(ish) - End of game, load the shed

Homecoming Saturday is a blast, but hectic. Here is the schedule for MP members:

Saturday, October 10
9:15 am - Parade warmup in sections (in full uniform) outside of Karmann Library
10:00 - Parade stepoff
10:30ish - Finish parade and walk back to track
11:00 - Rehearse with MP Alumni (approx 45 minutes)
Make plans for a quick lunch to be eaten in uniform between alumni rehearsal and pregame concert lineup
12:15 pm - Line up for pregame concert next to shed
12:30 - March to stadium
12:50 - Pregame performance
1:00 - Kickoff
2:15ish - Halftime performance
4:00ish - End of game
*5:00-6:00 - There is a celebration in the PSC University rooms for little old me (there will be cookies and punch)optional*
*8:15 - play for lighting ceremony (section leaders-make sure everyone has a ride to the M)optional*

Would you like to perform with this year's Marching Pioneers?
Homecoming is fast approaching. On Saturday, Oct. 10, UW-Platteville will be celebrating Homecoming, and we would like to invite you to come and play with the band. There will be a mandatory rehearsal at 11 am that day at the track (just across the street from the stadium). At 12:30 pm, we will march over to the stadium. If you plan to perform with the alumni color guard, please email me at [email protected]. The songs you will be playing with us are "Shake A Tailfeather" and the School Song (we will have copies of the School Song at rehearsal). YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT AND LYRE. You can find the sheet music for Shake A Tailfeather here (click on blue letters, NOT ON THE GREY BOX):
