Eight months into the role, Tony’s focus isn’t reinventing Cannon Building, it’s building on the foundation laid over 32 years by Tim and Sally Cannon. He even jokes that psychology should be a required minor in construction management because leading people is the real challenge.

Some exciting momentum too: our first project with Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, new leaders joining the team, and sales nearly double last year’s pace!

Cannon Building is pleased to welcome Rudy Rodriguez as our new Safety Coordinator. With more than 30 years of experience across the military, construction, manufacturing, and industrial sectors, Rudy brings extensive expertise in high-risk operations, field safety, regulatory compliance, and employee training.

In his new role, Rudy will work closely with our safety leadership and field teams to support proactive planning, provide on-site guidance, and reinforce the strong safety culture that is central to every Cannon Building project.

We are excited to welcome Adam Gross to the Cannon Building team as our new Preconstruction Executive.

Adam brings 20 years of experience, most recently in the role of Senior Preconstruction Director, where he played a key role in growing the firm’s presence across Southern California. In that position, he led preconstruction efforts on some of the company’s largest and most complex projects throughout the Western United States. Earlier in his career, Adam managed high-rise residential and educational projects across the New York metropolitan area as both a Project Manager and Superintendent. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

As Preconstruction Executive, Adam will oversee Cannon Building’s preconstruction, estimating, and business development efforts, further strengthening the technical expertise, strategic guidance, and senior-level involvement our clients value throughout every stage of project planning.

Adam’s experience, respected reputation in the Southern California market, and alignment with Cannon Building’s collaborative culture make him an outstanding addition to our leadership team. We look forward to the expertise and leadership he will bring as we continue to grow.

Paige brings extensive experience in A/E/C marketing and a proven track record of developing new client and partner relationships across healthcare, science & technology, K–14/higher education, and public sector markets. She has led strategic growth initiatives, regional market expansion, and healthcare positioning efforts, and is recognized for her results-driven approach and ability to collaborate effectively with technical, operations, and marketing teams to support pursuits and project wins.

In her prior roles, Paige built and expanded relationships with healthcare systems, design firms, contractors, and industry partners throughout California, while also contributing to industry engagement through leadership roles with organizations such as AMFP SoCal and SAME OC Post.

🔹 Brandon Kozlowski has been named Project Executive for our San Diego Business Unit, bringing his hands-on experience as both a Project Manager and a Superintendent to the role.

🔹 Jordan Beal steps up as Project Executive for our Los Angeles and Orange County Business Unit, drawing on his background in both operations and preconstruction.

Cannon Building recently welcomed Jack Dressen, Special Project Engineer with Stone Roofing, for an engaging Lunch and Learn focused on roofing systems. We appreciate Jack sharing his expertise and providing valuable insights drawn from years of industry experience.

The session explored the unique challenges of roofing projects in complex, occupied facilities and highlighted the critical role that proactive preconstruction planning, clear communication, and early identification of potential challenges play in delivering successful projects. It sparked thoughtful discussion and reinforced best practices our teams can apply in the field.

🎉 Cannon Building is excited to announce that Terry “Smitty” Smith has joined the firm as Senior Superintendent.

Smitty brings decades of construction experience and has earned a reputation for successfully delivering some of Southern California’s most challenging and complex projects in the Life Science, Healthcare, and Hospitality sectors. He began his career as a Carpenter and progressed into Superintendent and Project Manager roles, giving him a well-rounded perspective that adds tremendous value to his position as a Senior Superintendent.

In this role, Smitty will leverage his expertise in team leadership, planning and scheduling, quality assurance, and project ex*****on to lead some of Cannon Building’s most critical projects.

We are excited to welcome Smitty to the Cannon Building team. His expertise and leadership will further strengthen our ability to deliver exceptional results for our clients while supporting the continued growth and success of our project teams. Welcome aboard, Smitty!
