A strong safety culture starts with people who lead by example. At our Q2 Safety Meeting, Cannon Building proudly recognized Mike Lambrose, Jesus Ceballos, Dan Martin, Tony Miro, Sal Ramirez, and Rosenbach Demolition as recipients of our annual Safety Awards. Their dedication to safety, accountability, and protecting those around them sets the standard for excellence on every jobsite.

Congratulations to this year’s safety leaders, and thank you for making safety a core value in everything you do.

A beautiful day on the golf course was just the backdrop! Cannon Building was pleased to participate as a hole sponsor and underwriter at the the 17th Annual Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center Golf Tournament at Steele Canyon Golf Club.

It was a great opportunity to connect with Sharp Healthcare team members, design and construction professionals, and others who are passionate about creating spaces that serve patients and their families. Most importantly, the record-setting event raised over $400,000 to directly fund patient programs and services at the medical center that benefit the South Bay Community.

Cannon Building extends its congratulations and appreciation to the tournament organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and participants for a truly successful event!

✅ Two medical facilities.
✅ Two of healthcare construction’s most complex project types.
✅ Both delivered on time and on budget to satisfied clients.

In the first few months of 2026, our Cannon Building teams completed an MRI replacement at the MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center and a Linear Accelerator installation at Huntington Hospital’s oncology center. Kevin Crider and Jack Weaver guided their respective teams to deliver products to support two critical health care centers in Southern California.

Their edge? Constant communication with the client and subs, problem-solving agility, and strong teamwork. Shoutout to our key partners on both projects—we couldn’t have done it without you! For Long Beach Medical Center: Architects of Orange, MHP Structural Engineers, and MRI Corp. And for Huntington Hospital: Myng Architects, Degenkolb Engineers, and Varian.

32 years of Southern California healthcare expertise. Built one project at a time. Congratulations to the MCLBMC and HH teams!

The ISPE Los Angeles Chapter Tech & Innovation Expo 2026 at the Intuit Dome delivered an exciting look at how automation and AI are shaping the future Life Science. The Expo highlighted the rapid evolution taking place across the industry and the opportunities ahead as innovation continues to accelerate.

Our Cannon Building Team engaged with colleagues throughout the event and enjoyed learning about emerging technologies and forward-thinking solutions. The energy on the floor, esprit de corps, and conversations throughout the afternoon and evening confirmed that this year’s ISPE LA Tech & Innovation Tech Expo lit up the scoreboard!

Bringing a new Linac system online—Cannon Building recently completed this Linear Accelerator replacement at Huntington Hospital. The project was delivered seamlessly along with critical infrastructure improvements.

Scope Highlights:
✅ Installation of a new Linear Accelerator system
✅ Interior demolition and slab-on-grade (SOG) modifications
✅ Structural patch-back and preparation for equipment installation
✅ Mechanical and electrical upgrades to support system demands
✅ Construction of a new control center
✅ Rooftop upgrades including new chillers and exhaust fan, with piping routed through an existing mechanical chase

This work required precise coordination with the owner, equipment manufacturer, and our trade partners to keep everything moving while maintaining strict patient care and infection control standards.

We appreciate the contributions from our design partners and the extended team whose efforts helped deliver this work successfully.

A shoutout to the Cannon Building crew for their planning, coordination, and ex*****on on a job well done!

Closing out Safety Week 2026, Cannon Building brought together field teams, project leadership, engineers, subcontractors, and trade partners for a conversation centered on jobsite safety and looking out for one another through the CSW pillars of Recognize, Respond, and Respect.

The discussion included a recap of the week’s key topics, including recognizing and responding to high-energy hazards, fall prevention, situational awareness, and reinforcing accountability on every job site.

Over coffee and donuts from Parlor Doughnuts, a local favorite, the group closed out the week with an important reminder that safety depends on communication, teamwork, and shared responsibility every day.

On National Skilled Trades Day, Cannon Building recognizes the skilled professionals who make safety a priority every day on the jobsite.

Safe jobsites don’t happen by accident—they happen because experienced tradesmen look out for one another, follow the process, speak up, and take pride in doing the work the right way.

Thank you to every craft professional who helps protect our people, our projects, our clients, and our industry through their professionalism and accountability.
