Engineering (design & management):
POZ provides clients with quality services fulfilling multi-disciplinary (structural, MEP, civil, geotechnical, and environmental) engineering. We have and are able to provide these services in a turn-key function pooling from the experience of our staff and the customers we served in the past. We have problem solving skills but rely upon engineering principles, laws, codes and regulations to guide these skills. We are licensed in 5 States and have the ability to acquire reciprocity in others as well as internationally through NCEES. Primarily, we use Auto Desk AEC Suite (BIM capable) as our design software tool to create 3-D drawings for visualization and viewport detailing (this includes Revit & Navis modeling). We have used this tool to defend our conceptual designs, and analytical models., to meet the demands of our client on any project. Environmental Consulting, Testing, and QA:
POZ keeps refresher training on RCRA, CERCLA, SMRCA, CWA (NPDES and Wetlands), OSHA, and NEPA. We have done EAS Phase 1 and 2, as outlined by ASTM and CERCLA standards, and wetlands. We conducted water quality and quantity measurements and have consulted with lake associations, municipalities, and residents. We have written NEPA documents (Categorical Exclusions, EA, FONSI), AQ permit, and WQ permits. Environmental plans (HASP, PCP, MHP, etc.). We have developed a prototype and procedures to test handrails for OSHA compliance.
