Long day today. Bought the wrong blasting grit. and made it work, but slower than expected. Was sent the wrong blade for the computer saw. Tried to bottom out the adjustment and found out the adjustment was stripped so that's a morning project now. Luckily The iron worker is still a tank so we'll make out cuts on that tomorrow. Oh and I got to spend 100 dollars on diesle for the heaters because the primer we are using is super temp sensitive. 70 degree minimum. Tomorrow is gonna be busy. Hopefully I ca get some footage to edit. and get some product out the door. Got a good helper getting us back on track. We have a job right now to.make some custom ladders, railings and stairs for the new Connors Emerson school in . Working with the fine folks at Write Ryan and SBL. Excellent companies to work with. These prices of channel are bingo punched to accept ladder rungs via our print packet. The machine doing the work is a late modle Hill Acme . The Jig being used is a self referencing spring loaded pin jig which locates each hole nearly almost exactly 12" on center. It takes approximately 10 seconds per repetition assuming the channel slides through the stripper jig nicely. The hole size is 1.125" and the thickness is approximately 3/16". The Hill Acme is unaware that there is anything in its way. Stay tuned for the fit up and weld out!! Hit that Like and Share!!

This boat is more than likely 5052 plate welded with a 4000 series wire. the silicone in the wire reacts durring the welding process and creates a very strong weld which is not likely to crack durring welding, however when submerged in a mineral rich solution, like glacial lake water it tends to oxidized much more rapidly than a magnesium based alloy, which is why many of these weeds below the water line have failed. This customer made the right decision to save his boat by bringing it to Lipkvich Fabrication in pittsfield maine. Well have this fella ready for spring.
