Props to rainforestwoodco for debarking this massive maple 💪🌲

It can be time consuming and definitely a workout, but removing the bark before you mill can help save your chain from dulling as quickly. Dirt, grit and other debris can get embedded in the bark and be tough on your cutters.

A little extra work up front can go a long way once you start milling. 🪚

Those measurements on your mill posts are there for a reason. They’re what you use to set your cut height and keep your mill level for a straight cut.

Orienting the posts the way Ben shows here makes the measurements easier to see and helps you remember exactly where to read them.

Important: Set your measurement at the top of the end bracket, not from the post clamp on the back of the end bracket.

A small setup detail that can make a big difference in your cut. 👌🪚
