2012 Wrangler Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 edition Rubicon with 70700 miles!
I bought this Jeep a few weeks ago from the second owner at his Raleigh home. He kept it in his garage and used it as a commuter to work nearby. He bought it at about 24k miles and sold it to me after approximately 8 years of ownership at 70k miles. It was obvious when I went to look at it that it had not been used offroad much if any and it had been well cared for. It still had the factory size tires and no lift. He advised that he followed the factory maintenance schedule and had a local Jeep dealership do all the work. When I asked if the 4wd worked, he stated he had not fooled with it. I tested it to confirm function. The only add-ons are removeable side mirrors for use when the doors are off, a nice Kenwood touch screen head unit, hood hood downs, door net pocket replacements, black grill bar inserts, front grab handles and LED headlights. The Jeep has the freedom hard top with removable panels and tinted windows.
The Call of Duty MW3 edition(3500 made mostly 4 door) is built on a Rubicon base and adds power bulge hood, side rock rails, AEV front and rear steel bumpers, black rubicon 17 inch wheels, taillight guards, fuel door and cosmetic queues to pay homage to the video game namesake. This package includes Dana 44 axles, ARB lockers, 4.10 gears, electronic front sway bar disconnect and the 4:1 transfer case. The front AEV bumper is designed to be able to add a winch mount and the rear bumper has a reciever hitch. It also has power windows, power locks, power door mirrors, heated seats, inverter, dashboard information center and keyless entry.
I bought this Jeep to keep as my daily driver. I immediately fell in love with the 2 door JK(my first) and it's easy road manners with plenty of smooth power. Three days after buying it I found a 2016 JK with even less miles, built axles and a Mopar lift. I bought the newer 2 door with the promise to the wife that the 2012 would be resold.
To eliminate the angled down front droop of an original 70k mile Jeep suspension, I added leveling spacers to the front and bolted on the oem shocks, coil springs and steering stabilizer that were removed from the 2016 2 door after the first 300 miles. The underneath of the Jeep is almost as clean as the top. I have not washed the Jeep or painted anything on it. I have a car lift on-site and would be happy to lift it for an undercarriage inspection.
I am reselling the Jeep for the price I paid,$17,500. I believe it is well worth that (I thought I was gonna keep it!) because of the low miles, condition, Rubicon features and special package add-ons. If you are looking for a rare Jeep to build on or a super clean easy driver for a young person in your household, this is one to consider. Ive had several CJs, a YJ and many LJs, but I am impressed with the road manners and creature comforts of my first JK. This one should have a long life ahead of it if the next owner continues to maintain and care for it as the prior owner did.
