November 11, is Veterans Day. Veterans Day honors all those serving or have served in the United States military. The holiday began as a day to remember the end of World War I and was declared a holiday by President Woodrow Wilson in 1919. Originally known as Armistice Day, the holiday became Veterans Day in 1954.

If you know a veteran, thank them for their patriotism, love of country and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the good of us all.

This week we had the pleasure of hosting a reunion for three cohorts of our Legacy Council program! Each of these entrepreneurs participated in the year-long program that included two retreats, quarterly roundtables and monthly one-on-one sessions to determine what the next phase of their businesses looks like.

Today we pause to remember the lives lost, the heroes who stepped forward, and the resilience that brought us together on September 11, 2001.

In the face of heartbreak, we saw courage. In the midst of tragedy, we saw kindness. And in the years since, we’ve been reminded again and again of the power of unity, love, and community.

May we honor those we lost by carrying forward that spirit, by showing compassion, helping one another, and choosing love over fear.

We will never forget.
