What if we could get even more value out of those essential nutrients?
You can expand your “menu” of manure by separating nutrients with a system comprised of components from our partners. By doing so, you can fine tune your focused application of nutrients for a given crop or time of year.

Did you know that manure is a valuable resource? It contains all 17 nutrients that plants need to grow. However, using manure correctly takes a lot of science, different crops need different nutrients. Manure is very nutrient dense, but it isn’t always a perfect match for every field. To protect our water, NY farmers use something called the New York Phosphorus Runoff Risk Index. This is a tool that helps farmers and experts assess risks in each field so phosphorus (P) can be safely put on a field without washing away into lakes or streams.
Most soil in New York is naturally low in phosphorus. By carefully adding manure, farmers recycle nutrients already on the farm instead of buying extra fertilizer from somewhere else. By following the science, our local farmers are growing great food while keeping our watersheds clean and healthy!
