In February 2014,we were very honored to welcome four new teachers – Jessica from the USA, Paul from Scotland, and Joe and Rhys from Australia. Thanks to the collective contributions of True China staff members and current teachers, the new teachers were well equipped by their training. Afterwards, a welcome dinner was held in their honor. True China staff members invited several foreign teachers who were finishing their term in China to a farewell dinner at Small Swan Hotpot restaurant. The dinner honored Amanda, Molly, Anushca, and was attended by a few other guests.

Flora, director of the True China program, made a toast before the dinner regarding the program’s gratitude for the teachers’ hard work and extended the program’s best regards and wishes. Photographs were taken in memory of the wonderful occasion. The True China program wishes our teachers safe journeys back to their homes. We are truly grateful for their efforts in helping students achieve academic success in their education!

On December 26, 2013, GreatChina hosted a new year’s celebration party to welcome 2014 and invited parents from GreatChina’s parents’ English class and the present cohort of foreign teachers of the True China program. The party was held at GreatChina’s headquarters in Chengdu and started with a lovely buffet. Parents carefully prepared all off the delicious food. To make the party more enjoyable and memorable, parents, foreign teachers and GreatChina staff members had prepared various performances. The whole party was filled with laughter and many memories. GreatChina wishes you a happy and prosperous New Year and looks forward to hosting the next New Year’s celebration party!

On November 28, 2013, staff members and foreign teachers from the True China Exchange Program had a wonderful and unforgettable party at teacher Kate Anderson’s home. Everyone brought homemade dishes to share.

The delicious food included pizza, pasta, Vietnamese fried rice noodles, radish beef, mashed potatoes, cakes, salad, duck and vegetables. Program participants expressed their thanks for such an abundant meal. Everyone enjoyed this beautiful Thanksgiving while creating memories with dear colleagues and friends!
