We created this part using our high-speed vertical machining center. After cutting the outside profile and internal pockets, we mounted the part to a fixture plate and loaded it back into the high-speed machine to finish the face, which contains multiple 3D surfaces.

High-speed machines, which work well with small features, detail, and 3D surfacing, are ideal for these types of parts.
