Job Description

Our company is looking for a CAD designer to develop shop drawings of products using computer aided design (CAD) software. This position is in charge of all food service design and drafting work for the company

Communicates with architects, engineers and customers during the design and construction phase.

Works closely with sales department to complete projects on time.

Submit projects thru the various channels and to customers for approval.

Make redline corrections to drawings and release into shop for production. Continuously updated the drafting standards library to increase drawing productivity.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

· Develops technical drawings using CAD software

· Make revisions and obtain approval from the client

· Maintain a database of drawings

· Prepare supporting documentation that includes product materials and dimensions

· Distribute drawings to internal departments

· The ability to work closely with estimating department, project management, and customers in a team environment

· Ability to grow and improve skills to accomplish set tasks and goals required by job position to the engineering team

Skills/Qualifications:

· Experience with CAD software

· Technical design skills

· Experience and comprehension of "Sheet Metal Part Layout and Process" with strong knowledge of stainless-steel fabrication is considered a plus+

·.Attention to detail

· Ability to multi-task within department projects while maintaining production flow and customer deadlines

· Exhibits excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Good oral and written communication skills.

Experience with laser cutting machines, CNC’s or other machining experience is preferred.

Requirements:

 Sets up and operates Mazak CNC laser machine to cut metal parts to blueprint/drawing specifications.

 Operates laser equipment to perform cutting on a variety of materials in various thicknesses

 Must organize and identify / label different grades and thickness of materials

 Able to follow written and verbal instructions

 Identify and pull programs from network to load and run in machine.

 PC skills and Basic AutoCAD fundamental skills are useful

 Able to edit existing parameters and programs

 Conducts 1st piece, intermediate intervals and final part inspections

 Verifies conformance of parts to specifications.

 Uses inspection gauging, measuring devices, and instruments correctly and effectively

 Performs paperwork requirements and other duties as assigned and writes legibly

 Must clean optics and select specific heads and nozzles based on material being cut.

 Troubleshoots and corrects poor cutting conditions.

 General knowledge of adjustments (turns w/ mirrors/lenses on laser) Familiar with the gases used to cut product. (Nitrogen, Argon, Oxygen and Helium)

 Perform preventative maintenance on laser equipment and maintain spare parts inventory of laser machine, nozzles, seals, etc

Job Purpose:
Fabrication of custom components in the foodservice and architectural industries by analyzing requirements; collection of materials; developing/drafting drawings sets for the client approval process, preparing flat pattern parts finalized for fabrication.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

· Develops sheet metal parts by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assemblies; calculating project requirements determine appropriate methods for fabrication, develop flat pattern layout plan, bring to CAD/CAM design.

· Experience solving complex problems and designing mechanical sheet metal parts from the ground up.

· Collect materials by studying specifications and component requirements; create BOM for order processing, process materials utilizing efficiency in material yield.

· Creates and updates BOMs and operation methods in the ERP system.

· CAD/CAM programming of project parts using specified programs and equipment.

· The ability to work closely with other engineers, project management, and customers in a team environment.

· Ability to grow and improve skills to accomplish set tasks and goals required by job position to the engineering team.

Skills/Qualifications:

· *Proficient 2D scale drawings using preferred RADAN & CAD softwares

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in the sheet metal field in a manufacturing environment.

· Experience and comprehension of "Sheet Metal Part Layout and Process" a must with strong knowledge of stainless-steel fabrication is considered a plus+.

· Strong mathematical skills, general knowledge of computer systems, MS software.

· Ability to multi-task within department projects while maintaining production flow.

· Exhibits excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Good oral and written communication skills.
