How have engineering disasters helped to shape the industry? Philosopher George Santayana once said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned
to repeat it.” While safety has improved over time, the severity of large scale engineering disasters
has nonetheless increased.

On Wednesday, October 31st at 12pm EST, join Professor Jim Breen for an online webinar as he explores the business, psychological and social impacts of these disasters, and envisions how to minimize the chance of future events.

We are proud to announce that our Engineering Management program was recently awarded the status of Certified Graduate Program by the American Society of Engineering Management (ASEM)! This significant recognition confirms that our curriculum provides a state-of-the-art education of what engineering managers should know, and it places us in a select group of only six other programs in the country.

The certification was created by ASEM to recognize the programs that excel in graduate education and meet the rigorous standards of the Engineering Management Body of Knowledge. This distinction represents outstanding achievement in quality and content, and places Drexel among the elite in the country for graduate Engineering Management education.

Additionally, graduates of the program will now automatically qualify for the Certified Associate in Engineering Manager (CAEM), without having to take the certifying exam. The CAEM is a professional certification and valuable credential for professionals entering technical management roles.

More information about the CAEM can be found at https://www.asem.org/EM-Professional-Cert-Program
