We are a City agency tasked with the planning, coordination, and permitting of parades, festivals, demonstrations, and many other types of events taking place in the City of Philadelphia. The Office of Special Events is responsible for ensuring that all necessary permits, insurances and agreements with the City are executed prior to any event that seeks the use of City-owned or occupied property, or requires the permission to construct equipment in or on City streets.

Let’s ring it on! 🔔

Today, we joined for the official kickoff of Bells Across PA. Bells will be installed across the Commonwealth, and thanks to our partners at Philadelphia 250 and Mural Arts, Philly will host 22 bells throughout our neighborhoods—celebrating our diverse communities and talented artists.

These installations are a key part of the City of Philadelphia and Philadelphia 250’s Ring It On! initiative, led by Mayor Parker, which puts our neighborhoods at the forefront of America 250’s anniversary.
