This was a super fun project!

I was commissioned to build a handle for this Craftsman “Hatchet Axe” by Rob from and said his wife will contact me about the design!

After some back and forth in ideals, we landed on this design that I have never done before, and it was a really fun project!

For colors we went with the birthstone colors of Robs wife and children, Purple, Dark Blue, and Light Blue, with black as an accent.

First hatchet of five that I’ll have for sale at Choptober this weekend!

A trusty Council Tool Flying Fox, profiled and hung on a 15” slightly curved handle made with a combination of Maple Veneer, Bamboo, Ash scales, topped with a Mahogany Wedge!

Wrapped this incredible King of Diamonds up last week but wanted to wait until the receiver of this gift got their present!

I was approached by to put a handle on a King of Diamonds head that she did laser work on for her partner, and of course I agreed! After giving me a design she wanted I knew this would come out awesome.

Sporting a 18” handle this King is made with an Ash Core, Yellow Maple Veneer, a little Ash veneer, some Curly Purple Heart and topped off with a Purple Heart wedge!

Wrapped up this awesome Set last week and it’s already in the hands of its new owner over in the UK! Shout out to for getting it there in literally 3 days 🤯🤯

This set is pretty straightforward, a Hults Bruk Agdor, WATL King, and a Council Tool Flying Fox. A pretty versatile IATF Premier Set if you ask me!

We went with solid wood cores, Green and Black veneer (Go Birds), and some Mahogany wedges! Thanks Noz! Enjoy them!

Commissions have been a little light lately but this was a fun one I wrapped up this week! A WATL Pro Line Colossus hung on a 23 1/8” handle made with a Blue/Black Veneer core and Padauk, tipped off with a Purple Heart wedge!
