Arbitrary Speed Threading on the SMART NL 3000BLM.
This FANUC option lets you adjust spindle RPM while you’re actively mid-threading cycle and the machine stays in lead the entire time.

Two things it does in the real world:
⬛ Change RPM mid-cut to break up harmonics and eliminate thread chatter
⬛ Load an already-threaded part, teach the thread, and recut or repair it with a standard threading cycle
