Antivirus looks for known bad files. EDR watches for bad behavior — the stuff nobody's seen before but is still clearly up to no good. If you only have antivirus, you're fighting yesterday's threats.

If a popup says the FBI locked your computer and to call a number right now — it's not real. It's a scam built to panic you into calling. Close the browser. Call us if you want to check.

Those "your computer is infected, call now" popups are one of the most common scams we see on unmanaged computers. Filtered DNS blocks a lot of them before the page even loads.

A lot of "my email got hacked" cases weren't hacking at all — the password was just reused somewhere else that got breached years ago. Reusing passwords is like using the same key for your house, your truck, and your boat, with 20 copies scattered around town.
