Another happy customer!

"So much better than I thought and should have done it earlier.

Just got back from pulling our 17k lbs 5th wheel toy hauler almost 400 miles that included some big summits that I normally would have to go down to 3rd gear taking it easy with the throttle while keeping the rpms up and sill hit 250 and above. This time I wasn't being as conservative so I could test it a bit and the highest it got was 230 for just a bit with outside temperature in the high 80s low 90s, that was the highest temp for the entire trip. Crusing 70 on the flat it would average 197.
Worst part for me was getting the lower radiator hose trimmed to avoid kinking.

Thanks "

Finally got the bumper cleaned up and painted. Many thanks Matt Wiggins !

Another test run on the new auxiliary radiator kit for the duramax powered C5500 chassis motor home.

"MH ran like a champ temps.never got more then 222 which was rare . EGTs were still an issue but I just had to let off a little. 3000+ miles from AZ to WY"

Another success!

We finally had a day warm enough for a real test of the new auxiliary radiator system for the c5500 chassis.

Test is complete!!
Left this afternoon at 3pm and went to Payson. We loaded the family plus hooked up the jeep to give it the most accurate test. It was 100 degrees when we left. Speed up all hills maintained 45+ before it was around 35 because motorhome would heat up. The hottest it got was 221. Only reason I had to let off was because of EGT temps. Attached is a few screen shots of edge. When it hit 221 it was only for a brief time then would scream down when I wasn't in it.

Our most recent project. Duramax powered C5500 chassis.

1st real test of the auxiliary radiator and transmission cooler on the books. We picked the right day and time too as it was about 2 in the afternoon and about 115 in Phoenix when we decided to head out and was still 100 in flag when we arrived. We maintained 65mph over most of the trip slowing to 50 on the steep climbs (due to other traffic). Stock gears with 35's make towing between 55 and 60 awkward (too fast for second gear and too slow for third which leads to egt issues).
As for the performance of the cooling system we couldn't be happier. Ect's stayed in the 200-205 range with the highest temp recorded at 214 with the fan cycling on and off as I would expect but never went into full lock up. Transmission also really seems to like the additional heat exchangers as it stayed in the 175-180 range the entire trip.
Specifics on the truck;
