This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We recommend a visit to Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Bucks County, much closer than Arlington Cemetery in Washington DC.
The earliest war associated with soldiers buried at Washington Crossing Historic Park is the American Revolutionary War. These soldiers died from sickness, exposure, or injuries during the December 1776 encampment immediately preceding Washington’s famous crossing of the Delaware River.
We thank those who served and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Their courage and commitment to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten.
