Please join us in congratulating our very own leader and Integrator, Jackie Hale, on receiving the Business Award from the YWCA of Pekin!
This award recognizes women in the business and non-profit sectors who make significant contributions in their field, and we can’t think of anyone more deserving. Jackie’s leadership, dedication, and passion continue to inspire all of us every day.
We are so proud to work alongside such an amazing leader and mentor who helps drive the growth and success of Illinois Oil Marketing Equipment, Inc. through her leadership and vision. Thank you, Jackie, for all that you do for our team, company, and industry. This honor is well earned!
Congratulations!!!
Business Award — Jackie Hale
The Business Award is given to a woman in the business and non-profit sectors
who make a significant contribution in their field. This year’s Business Award
recipient is Jackie Hale.
Jackie’s nominator is Illinois Oil Marketing Equipment. Located on Brenkman
Drive right here in Pekin, Illinois Oil Marketing Equipment celebrated its 30th
anniversary as an Employee Stock Ownership Plan company last year.
Jackie Hale started working as a part-time cleaner at Illinois Oil Marketing
Equipment when she was a teenager and her mom, Joyce Hale was the Office
Manager. She took time to get her associate’s degree at Lincoln Christian
College and spent a few years decorating cakes at the Cake Shoppe in
Bartonville but continued to do part-time work for IOME. Twenty-two years ago,
she began working full-time for them, holding a variety of positions including
accounts payable, bid billing, and construction coordinator until she moved into
the leadership team as Integrator. As Integrator, she is the operational
backbone of IOME, where she oversees a staff of 74, serves as secretary of the
board of directors, and is the key to putting the vision of IOME into action.
Her company says of her, “Jackie’s leadership style is very approachable with a
special appreciation for staff. She is selfless, trustworthy, and keeps a positive,
upbeat attitude even while keeping a full schedule that few would be able to
keep up with. She has an eye for detail that some might call OCD tendencies,
but we appreciate her precision and thoroughness. Jackie is never the one
looking for center stage. She happily sits with groups to brainstorm ideas, lend
her vision and contribute her talents, but she shies away from the accolades and
awards. She builds up the people around her and graciously gives them credit
for achievements where she was integral.”
As an organization under Jackie’s leadership, IOME has been active with the
YWCA Pekin Early Childhood book drive, Theresa Tracy Trot to raise funds for
research of pancreatic cancer, Tazewell County Veterans’ Assistance food
drives, along with toy drives and other fundraisers. She continues to guide
IOME to expand its footprint and awareness of our company and our trade
throughout the community, especially with students through career fairs and
other student engagements.
Outside of work, Jackie enjoys her family and her rescue dog, loves disc golf,
and is extremely crafty, coming up with ideas or making fun gifts for the parties
and events IOME hosts for its employees. Jackie has also actively participated
with Petroleum Equipment Institute and Female Integrator Mastermind, a
networking and support group.
Jackie, your company admires and values you for all your contributions to their
business and to your community. The YWCA agrees and is happy to award you
with the 2026 Business Award. Congratulations.
