Pond joined the City of Smyrna, Georgia, in celebrating the ribbon cutting of the River Line Splash Pad, marking the official opening of a vibrant new community amenity just in time for summer.

Developed in close collaboration with the city, the project evolved through multiple iterations to bring a shared vision to life. The result is a dynamic, family-friendly space designed to enhance recreation and community connection.

Pond provided landscape architecture, architecture, and civil engineering services. The scope included a concession building, restrooms, and an engaging splash pad that serves as a welcoming destination for residents and visitors alike.

Pond is honored that our client, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, has received the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation’s Award for Excellence in Rehabilitation for the restoration of the FDR Pools at Warm Springs in Warm Springs, Georgia. Pond served as the design professional of record.

Originally constructed in the 1920s, the FDR Pools hold deep historical significance as a place of healing and community. The rehabilitation effort preserved the site’s legacy while thoughtfully modernizing infrastructure to support continued public use for generations to come.
