Structural Evolution LLC provides a variety of structural engineering services, in particular the evaluation, modification, and addition to existing structures. Cold-formed steel construction is another particular area of specialty, and we are, of course, always glad to assist you with any of your structural engineering needs, from small fit-outs to the design of new structures.

'Step into an Iron-worker's Boots for a Day'! Thanks to AISC and Iron Workers Local 387 for hosting this great educational event where engineers were given a chance to try our hands at the many skills needed to erect steel buildings. This was part of SteelDay 2022. A great day!

Structural Evolution attended the Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute 2022 Expo where we received 2 awards! We won 1st Place in the Design Excellence Category for our work designing the SoFi Stadium 'Pod' structures which were 14 one-story buildings built within this new stadium in LA. We also won 1st place in the Creative Detail category for the Pounders Hawaiian Grill on the Florida gulf coast. On that project we designed a 12ft tall, 24ft wide 'cresting wave' feature outside of this theme restaurant. Thanks to Wade Harrell and Jennifer Landrum for their work on these projects!

'Steel Day! - Members of the Structural Evolution staff attended a plant tour at Universal Steel in Lithonia GA yesterday. It was a great event. Attendees were given hands on demonstrations and were able to see all of the stages of steel production - cutting, shop welding, bolting, painting, galvanization, shear stud welding, decking and anchoring. We appreciate the the folks at Universal Steel and the many other vendors for this great opportunity!

Great News! - Today we received our trophy for 'Honorable Mention - Creative Detail Category' that was given to us at the 2021 Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute Expo. Thanks to Wade and Dani for their work on the Avita Community Partners project. We were recognized for our innovative 'Woven X-Brace" detail which allows greatly increased shear wall capacity in a limited length of wall.

Structural Evolution Office Remodel Complete! While the staff has been working off-site, Nancy Lyons and Veronica Lyons have been busy improving the office. Veronica took photos from our projects, colored our framing in blue., and mounted them all over the office. These art pieces show the types of steel framing projects designed by Structural Evolution Nancy created a large electronic jobs board which mounts to the wall so the staff can track jobs as they move through production. Archie the office golden-doodle is easy to spot around all of this blue!
