Since we are in dock installation season I thought this would be a good share for those that have floe dock adjustable legs. I had a customer bring me a few legs that would no longer adjust. They are non serviceable so I cut them apart to see if I could repair them. I found 2 failures. They failed because of broken tack welds or because the plastic nut failed. That’s right there is a plastic nut on a 3/4 acme thread aluminum threaded rod that does all the adjusting. I was able to find a replacement nut to repair them. So keep that in mind when adjusting them. Don’t over do it the nuts will split or strip. See photos below of what I’ve found.
