Since 1917, the Hydraulic Institute (HI) - the largest association of pump industry manufacturers in North America - has served member companies and pump users by providing product standards and a forum for the exchange of industry information. ter (PSM) social media sites are produced and maintained by the marketing department of HI/PSM. The views and opinions expressed on HI/PSM social media sites by individuals who are not employees of HI, are those of the individuals and not necessarily those of HI/PSM. The employees, members, volunteer leaders and HI/PSM organization cannot be held responsible for the accuracy, currency or reliability of information posted by external parties. While HI/PSM strives to make the information within our social media channels as timely and accurate as possible, we make no claims, promises or guarantees about the accuracy, completeness or adequacy of the contents of these sites, and expressly disclaim liability for errors and omissions in the contents of these sites. HI/PSM reserves the sole right to review, edit and/or delete any comments deemed inappropriate, as further defined below. Further, HI/PSM social media sites are not forums for soliciting business and/or requesting technical advice or solutions to technical problems, as further defined below. HI/PSM reserves the right to terminate involvement by those who post such content. Comments including, but not limited to, the following may be deleted or edited if deemed inappropriate or irrelevant by the moderator(s) of HI/PSM sites:

- Abusive or hurtful comments about any other person, whether or not this person or company is a user or participant in HI/PSM’s social media sites;

- Off-topic and redundant comments (this includes promotion or solicitation of events, groups, pages, websites, organizations, products, services and programs that are not related to or affiliated with HI/PSM and spam);

- Comments that use profanity, foul language, abusive language or "hate speech" (for example, including but not limited to racial, ethnic or gender-bashing language);

- Private, personal information published without consent;

- Personal attacks or defamatory statements or comments (i.e., making negative personal or untrue comments about an individual or a company, whether a participant in the social media platforms of HI/PSM or not), instead of just professionally responding to a posting, opinion or comment(s);

- Plagiarized material or material that potentially violates intellectual property rights;

- Comments that violate the privacy of any individual;

- Advertisements and business solicitations; and

- Material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, slanderous, hateful or embarrassing to any person, company or entity as determined by HI/PSM.

- Reference in HI/PSM sites to any specific commercial product, process or service, or the use of any trade, firm or corporation name is for the information and convenience of the public and does not constitute endorsement or recommendation by HI/PSM. Some HI/PSM social media channels contain links to third-party websites. The linked sites are not under the control of HI/PSM, and we are not responsible for the content(s) of any linked website. These links are provided as a convenience only and shall not be construed as an endorsement of, sponsorship of or affiliation with the linked website by HI/PSM.

- All references to Hydraulic Institute standards or guidelines by HI/PSM are intended to be consistent with their stated purpose and scope.
