Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson were going camping. They pitched their tent under the stars and went to sleep.

Sometime in the middle of the night Holmes woke Watson up and said: “Watson, look up at the stars, and tell me what you see.”

Watson replied: “I see millions and millions of stars.”

Holmes said: “.....and what do you deduce from that?”

Watson replied: “Well, if there are millions of stars, and if even a few of those have planets, it’s quite likely there are some planets like earth out there. And if there are a few planets like earth out there, there might also be life.”

And Holmes said: “Watson, you idiot! It means that somebody stole our tent.”

There are four engineers traveling in a car: a mechanical engineer, a chemical engineer, an electrical engineer and a computer engineer.

The car breaks down. “Sounds to me as if the pistons have seized. We’ll have to strip down the engine before we can get the car working again”, says the mechanical engineer.

"It sounded to me as if the fuel might be contaminated. I think we should clear out the fuel system," said the chemical engineer.

“I thought it might be an grounding problem or maybe a faulty plug lead,” says the electrical engineer.

They all turn to the computer engineer who has said nothing.

“Ummm – perhaps if we all get out of the car and get back in again?”
