Safety doesn't take a day off!

Our HWH Safety Team recently made stops at multiple jobsites for our quarterly safety meetings, taking time to connect with our crews, reinforce safe work practices, and keep safety top of mind.

From the office to the field, safety is a shared responsibility and a commitment we make to one another every day. We appreciate our Safety Team for making the rounds and, most importantly, our crews for continuing to look out for each other and making safety part of the job.

Safety is our commitment. Looking out for each other is our culture.

| Paris Regional Cancer Center {now Texas Oncology}

This Throwback Thursday, we're taking it all the way back to 1992 with a look at the Paris Regional Cancer Center. The 22,000-square-foot facility opened its doors to patients on June 13, 1992, bringing chemotherapy and radiation therapy together under one roof. Designed with patients and families in mind, the center included examination rooms, chemotherapy infusion stations, private infusion rooms, patient education and counseling resources, and space for community support programs.

The building itself was designed with some pretty incredible architectural details, including cast stone, sand-formed brick, glass block, a vaulted copper roof and a covered walkway extending the full length of the building. The brick columns continue into the interior corridors, creating a sense of continuity as patients move through the facility.

And as we recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, we're reminded of the importance of the spaces that support patients, families and healthcare professionals through their journeys. It's also a good reminder to take care of ourselves:

💗 Know your body.
💗 Stay current with recommended screenings.
💗 Talk with your healthcare provider.
💗 Don't put off taking care of yourself.

Early detection can make a difference. More than 30 years later, we're proud to look back on a project that wasn't simply built for a community, it was built to care for one.

That’s a milestone worth celebrating!

Yesterday, we gathered for a luncheon to recognize the incredible team who helped us reach 100,000 man hours with zero recordable incidents. This achievement doesn’t happen by accident. It takes commitment, communication, accountability, and looking out for one another every single day.

At HWH, safety isn’t just a number or a goal on a spreadsheet, it’s a commitment we make to our people, our clients, and our families. Every person who steps onto one of our jobsites deserves to go home safely at the end of the day.

We’re proud of this milestone, but even more proud of the people who made it possible.

We’re proud to celebrate a major professional milestone for Kelsey Turk, who has officially earned his architecture license in the state of Texas!

After years of hard work, late nights, continued learning, and dedication to his craft, Kelsey has reached this exciting next chapter in his career. He recently celebrated his initial licensure in Oklahoma as well, making him a licensed architect in both Oklahoma and Texas.

At HWH, we know that accomplishments like this don’t happen overnight. They’re built through perseverance, mentorship, collaboration, and a commitment to continually growing in your profession.
