Press/Form Technician

Primary Purpose of Role:

The primary purpose of the Press Operator is to set-up operate, and control various metal fabricating equipment, including but not limited to, Brake press, Hydraulic press, Punch press, Turret press, Rollers, Spin, Shears, Band saw, Belt sander, Expander, in both manual and automatic modes, for various materials according to customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate various metal parts from raw stock (sheet/bar, etc.) or metal parts in various stages of completion.
Assure tools/gauges are calibrated and in working order.
Measure, verify, and assure fabricated metal products meet specified blueprints, sketches and/or specifications using various measurement equipment necessary to the task.
Perform operations/tasks as specified on router and notify supervisor when operation not meeting requirements.
Monitor machine operation to assure machines function in a safe and efficient manner, notifying supervisor of equipment malfunctions.

Qualifications and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years college/technical school or three years related experience/training with proven skills.
Strong cognitive skills and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to comprehend routers, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, operating instructions, manuals, specifications, correspondence.
Problem solving skills, good judgement skills, good communication skills, basic computer skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Access to our facility (and, therefore, employment) is restricted under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents of the United States, and properly licensed foreign persons. Spin Lathe Technician

Primary Purpose of Role

The purpose of the Spin Lathe Technician (Spinner) is to operate and maintain lathes and presses according to customer and facility specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare Lathe set up and Press set up.
Demonstrate ability to spin and trim various types of metals.
Inspect parts using variety of inspection equipment to blueprint specifications.
Set propane oxygen torches to levels needed to run certain metals.
Dispose of excess material properly.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, specification sheets or sample parts to determine requirements.
Certified in Operator Acceptance Program after hire.
Perform operations/tasks as specified on router. Notify supervisor when operation not meeting requirements.
Monitor operation to assure equipment is functioning in a safe and efficient manner, notify supervisor of equipment malfunction.

Laser Process Engineer

Primary Purpose of Role

The purpose of the Laser Process Engineer is create, refine and edit Laser programs for equipment utilized in the development and production of machined and fabricated parts. The Laser Process Engineer will support new and existing products at AeroGen-TEK .

Key Responsibilities

Develop and refine Laser programs and support tooling for machined and fabricated parts utilizing Unigraphics, Solidworks, CAD and other potential applicable required software. Ability to set up and operate Lasers.
Read and interpret blueprint, planning sheets, sketches, models and related technical data to determine tool requirements, set-up procedures, control setups, and manage the required Lab approvals for all Materials.
Work with and participate in cross functional teams for continuous improvement, new or revised product launches, and transformation to lean manufacturing projects.
Work with fixture design and potential implementation of design.
Make and incorporate suggestions for changes in dies, fixtures or materials used per documented procedures.
Train and teach operators within the department.
Maintain records and revisions for all programs.

Qualifications and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.
College degree in related field preferred.
Demonstrated experience writing Laser programs.
Ability to comprehend blueprints, sketches, diagrams and written or verbal instructions.
Technical skills in manufacturing processes and method including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment.
Excellent cognitive and analytical skills and reading and writing skills.
Strong computer background, organizational, planning, and typing skills.
Effective communication skills and human relations skills. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work well in a team environment.

Supply Chain Specialist
Primary Purpose of Role

The primary purpose of the Supply Chain Specialist is to support AeroGen-TEK by procuring raw materials, supplies, parts, equipment, and services required for successful manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Reviews purchase requisitions.
Confers with vendors to obtain products or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items.
Estimates values according to knowledge of market price.
Expedites delivery of goods to users.
Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid.
Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.
Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and appropriate corrective actions.
Approves invoices for payment.

Qualifications and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.
College degree preferred.
Minimum two years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment with proved skills or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience with MS Office Suite and ERP software - EPICOR ERP software preferred.
Ability to coordinate, organize, document basic information.
Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Good communication skills, presentation skills, basic computer skills, human relations, and analysis of products.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
