Established in 1986 by Ernest Cooper Sr., The Steel Yard Inc. has been serving customers in Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas for three and a half decades. Ernest served as owner and lead operator of the business all the way to 1996. It was then that Butch Cooper, Ernest’s son, joined the
operation and took over as owner and is currently in the process of passing the lead role in managing the business to his son-in-law Dillon Osment. TSY has grown exponentially over the 30 plus years and is now positioned as a leading regional provider of steel, aluminum, stainless and galvanized material, and fabrication services. During this time, TSY has gone from a couple of employees to a company of over thirty employees strong. In the same time, the company's fleet went from one truck with a gooseneck trailer to seven eighteen wheelers and four bob trucks. We’ve recently added new, additional warehouse space as well as new machinery to better serve our customers. And we’ve also developed a new Pipe Division to expand our offerings. The company has made tremendous strides over the years, but our priority hasn’t changed: To continue to strive for improvement in providing the absolute best services and highest-quality materials to our customers.
