We are looking to add to our team a new Yard Worker at our Palmer store!

Yard Workers are responsible for keeping our facilities looking clean and professional by maintaining the cleanliness of our equipment and keeping everything organized and easily accessible. The ideal person for this role is energetic, eager to help, and hungry to learn and grow their career. This role is a springboard to other opportunities at Alaska Pacific Rental including Driver, Mechanic, and Sales and Operations Coordinator roles.

In this role you will learn to...

Responsibilities:
-Answer and resolve customer questions
-Provide customers with expert advice on the selection, operation and maintenance of all the various types of equipment
-Support all team members
-Help to load and unload internal truck drivers, outside haulers and customers
-Clean maintain and organize heavy equipment, construction equipment and various pieces of machinery
-Review orders and stage equipment for drivers
-Maintain and clean and organized yard and work area
-Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
-Professional Experience
-Educational Background
-Conditions of Employment
-A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
-Ability to communicate with customers
-Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
-Ability to input information into computer systems
-Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Programs
-Ability to safely drive and operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment
-Be able to regularly lift 50lbs or more
-Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
-Ability to perform repetitive tasks; stretch, turn, twist, and reach overhead; bend, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for extended periods of time
-Must be able to work indoors and outdoors when required of the job

We now are hiring a Sales Associate for our Wasilla store!

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
-Maintaining knowledge of what equipment/products are available for rent/purchase
-Maintain a clean show room floor/ work environment
-Maintain fully stocked merchandise
-Provide customers with accurate information on rental equipment
-Provide customers with information on STIHL and Honda products for purchase
-Make rental reservations on heavy equipment and small tool rental
-Provide appropriate customer service interactions
-Help load and unload customers with small equipment/ sales merchandise
-Other duties assigned as needed

Job Requirements:
-Some experience/ knowledge of heavy equipment, but not necessary
-Strong problem-solving, communication skills
-Some form of computer skills (Point of Rental experience preferred)
-Sales orientated and self-motivated
-Ability/willingness to learn
-Be able to regularly lift 50lb or more
-Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
-Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as stretch, turn, twist, bend, crouch, squat, kneel, reach overhead and stoop for extended periods of time
-High School or GED required, College Degree preferred
