Flyin' Miata

Flyin' Miata FM is the world leader in performance parts for all generations of the Mazda MX-5 Miata. We develop a very high percentage of our product line in-house.

Flyin' Miata started off as a Porsche/Audi/VW repair shop called The Dealer Alternative, but started hopping up Miatas in 1989. In 1996, the repair business was spun off and we focused on one thing: making Miatas perform better. We are probably best known for our turbo and supercharger systems, which are the standard of the industry. Basically, if we don't think what we sell is the best available we change it until it is.

Upgrade your high-performance wheel with a set of high-performance lug nuts.
They're newly improved: we updated the finish to hard anodizing, which minimizes the visible wear from repeated removal and installation.
Made of 7075-T6 aluminum alloy for high strength, fully threaded and light weight, these nuts use a 19mm socket for the best combination of strength and clearance. We even put the torque spec on the side, just in case you have a senior moment. Not that this would ever happen to you.
You don't have to use them with a set of Kogeki wheels but you can't deny they look great together.
Sold in sets of 20, 16, or individually. flyinmiata.com/wheels

Engines are built with a safety factor, so hitting the redline briefly won't cause immediate failure. However, prolonged high RPMs increase stress, heat, and friction. Don't hang out there unnecessarily.

If your NA or NB Miata has a wobbling gear shift, excessive vibration, or difficulty getting into gear at high rpm, it might be time for new engine mounts. We've seen cracks at 60k miles.
At FM, we carry three variants of the stock-style mounts: stock Mazda mounts, I.L.'s competition mounts, and Mazda competition mounts. The stock Mazda mounts are an OEM refresh for any street NA/NB, while the I.L. and Mazda competition mounts are stiffer. The stiffer mounts can better handle higher horsepower engines, but increase noise and vibration in the cabin. If you're wondering what's the right fit for your Miata, give us a call or email; we'd be happy to help pick the right parts for you.
Our Miata Master Mechanic Kyle Tigar recently performed an installation on an NA - check out the process on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kD4NR8CH7js
