Following Jesus means more than knowing what to say. It means being slow to anger, showing mercy and loving people—even when they’re making it a little difficult.

We spend all week fixing what people can see. God is more concerned with what’s going on underneath.

A clean truck won’t fix a heavy heart, and staying busy won’t cover what needs taken to the Lord. Bring Him the mess. He already knows it’s there, and He’s still calling you closer.

Have some time with God. Open your Bible. Pray with your family. The work can wait a few hours—it’ll be right where you left it.
