Under recent legislation, general industry employers in New York State will be required to have an opioid antagonist, like Narcan, on the premises. The deadline to comply is 12/13. Learn more at our blog below and ensure you are prepared!

Tomorrow is International Coastal Cleanup Day! Ocean pollution is still a pervasive issue today – trash items like plastics, cans, and foam products end up in our waterways and can be incredibly damaging to marine life. In its recently published draft risk evaluation for 1,1,2-trichloroethane, EPA notes several conditions of use where this chemical can cause unreasonable risk to workers. The agency is accepting public comments on this document through September 28.

If you use 1,1-dichloroethane in your operations, note that last year EPA completed a risk evaluation for this chemical and found that it can present unreasonable risks to human health in certain cases. The agency is currently working on a final rule to control these risks; follow Walden's blog to stay up to date on news around these anticipated regulatory changes.
