Miami University's School of Fine Arts Department of Music is pleased to invite you to the 41st Annual International Double Reed Society Conference. Held on the two-century old campus that Robert Frost once described as "the most beautiful campus that ever there was," IDRS 2012 promises 5 days of performances, lectures and masterclasses. This will be the first time the IDRS conference will be held

east of the Mississippi River since in 2007 and the first time in Ohio since 1979! We are also offering the unique experience of apartment-style housing on-campus. Each three bedroom, two bath apartment comes fully furnished complete with a full kitchen and dining room. Additionally, this option provides private off-street parking, air conditioning, internet and cable, wifi, and laundry facilities. This conference will be co-hosted by Professors Andrea Ridilla and Christin Schillinger.

General information

In addition to five days of concerts, lectures, recitals, master classes, competitions, and exhibitions, events will include: BBQ FEST--a Midwest BBQ with a Student Double Reed Ensemble Contest... ARE YOU Ready?!. BROOMBALL TOURNAMENT--a popular campus game played in the famous Goggin Ice Arena. All equipment will be provided!
