A very sad day for our fellow boating community. Today the bodies of two Long Island Sound boaters have been recovered. On behalf of everyone at Kapp Boats, we offer our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of these two young men. Rest peacefully.

A body has been found as crews continue to search for a boater who went missing following a crash on Monday in Old Saybrook.

It's been a very busy season and I haven't had much time for social media. Now that it's slowed down a bit, I'll try to post some of this season's projects. Thank you to all of our customers!

The rifle is affixed with bayonet and inverted, signifying the Soldier went down fighting. The boots signify the Soldier's last march onto the battlefield. Dog tags are imprinted with the Soldier's name and hung from the rifle so their identity will never be forgotten. The helmet is placed atop the rifle representing what the Soldier stood for and signifying that their battle is now over.

This Memorial Day, reach out to the veterans you know and even don't know to make them aware you haven't forgotten their sacrifices and their fallen brothers.
