🔧 PART-TIME SHOP TECHNICIAN — WE’RE LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT FIT
Owosso Hitch & Plow is looking for a part-time, hands-on problem solver to join our shop.
This isn’t your typical mechanic position. We work with hitches, trailers, plows, wiring, lighting, hydraulics, accessories, and repairs—so we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys figuring things out and working with their hands.
The person we’re looking for:
• Has strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Is confident with 12V electrical, wiring, and lighting
• Is comfortable working with trailers and trailer wiring
• Has experience or a strong understanding of hydraulics
• Can weld or is comfortable around welding
• Is mechanically minded and can look at a problem and figure out why it’s happening—not just replace parts until something works
• Works diligently and methodically with pride in doing the job correctly
• Can work independently and take ownership of a job from start to finish
• Pays attention to the details that matter
• Doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty—or occasionally working outside when the job requires it
We’re not looking for a “jack of all trades, master of none.”
We’re looking for someone who has a strong mechanical/electrical foundation, likes solving problems, and takes pride in being good at what they do.
