Using the Gangi Softguard, equipped with its innovative spring-loaded blunt-tip stylet, at the University Hospital of Strasbourg, Dr. Afshin Gangi successfully accessed a 30mm mass located in the pancreatic tail near the spleen and colon. The pancreas’ deep location in the abdomen, surrounded by vital organs makes accessing these tumors particularly challenging, but Dr. Gangi safely navigated through it with the Softguard to perform a biopsy.

The diagnosis: pancreatic adenocarcinoma, the most common type of pancreatic cancer.

The Gangi Softguard sets a new standard for safety and precision in tumor biopsy, empowering healthcare professionals to achieve better outcomes for their patients.
