Come see Earth Tools at the Organic Growers School 2026 Spring Conference in Mars Hill, NC March 6-8!

Since its inception in 1993, the Spring Conference has grown into the Southeast’s largest gathering of
farmers, gardeners, educators, and sustainability advocates. The 2026 event will feature OGS’s hallmark
educational opportunities, including:

● New & Reimagined Workshop Tracks: OGS will continue to offer many familiar tracks, such
as Mushrooms, Permaculture, and Farming Production & Business. This year’s conference will
also feature new tracks such as “Alternative Gardening Techniques,” “Native Plants &
Wildscaping,” and “Plant-Based Wellness,” complementing old favorites.
● Core Curriculum: OGS will continue to offer a familiar core curriculum for gardeners, farmers,
and those interested in sustainable living. It will feature over 50 workshops across twelve tracks,
including Soils, Gardening, & Earth Stewardship.
● Expert Speakers: Learn from leading voices like DeLesslin "Roo" George-Warren (Catawba
Nation), Awo Amenumey (Eh’vivi), Liel Green (Jewish Farmer Network), and Victoria Fillmore
(Cedar Hill Homestead).

CONGRATULATIONS to the inaugural Organic Farmer Award recipients: John Bell, Ann Stone and Mac Stone of Elmwood Stock Farm. At January's OAK Conference, Executive Director Brooke Gentile and OAK Board Member Maggie Dungan presented John, Ann and Mac with an engraved digging fork from Earth Tools . OAK Membership overwhelmingly nominated these three awesome organic farmers for their leadership in Kentucky's organic farming movement.
